A dusk setting of a barren winter landscape dotted by vibrant red berries - Winterlude is a collage and acrylic painting offered by Shadia Derbyshire. the piece was created with a soft acrylic underpainting, that was then collaged with hand torn, and painted, stamped, stenciled or otherwised embellished papers. The piece is finish is a semi gloss top coat with UV protection. The edges are painted with paper wrapping from the face - so no framing is needed. There are soft interference metallics used in this piece which allow the snow to shimmer.
