Reaching For The Sun
This gorgeous painting was initially created with an acrylic under-painting. I then collaged over the iris blossoms and portions of the background with hand painted found papers- including musical sheets, sewing patterns, and gift tissues- leaving some areas of the under painting peeking through. I accented the painting's surface with paper that I foiled before collaging, so the surface shimmers with unexpected vibrancy.
